Maroochydore State High School's Youth Worker, Alana Benfer, provides individual support, case management, and group-based interventions to students to maximise their engagement with school. She works collaboratively with students, families, school staff, and external service providers to identify and address barriers impacting educational participation and wellbeing. Alana also supports at-risk students through referrals to appropriate agencies and support services, ensuring they have access to the resources and assistance needed to overcome challenges and successfully engage in education and training.
