Enrolling at Maroochydore State High School is an important and exciting process and we welcome all our new students.
To ensure we can accommodate local families, we operate as a catchment managed school and accept enrolments from families residing within our catchment zone. The school's catchment map can be viewed online: school's catchment area.
Out of catchment applications are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Complete an Enrolment application form and email to our Enrolments Officer emp@maroochydoreshs.eq.edu.au
Alternatively you can visiting our office in person to collect an enrolment application pack or print and complete the form and mail to PO Box 55 Maroochydore 4558.
Education Queensland policy requires that, prior to enrolment, a copy of the following documents be provided:
- student’s two most recent student report cards
- student’s birth certificate (non-State school, interstate and overseas students only)
- your proof of residency (showing address)
- owners – rates notice/water/electricity bill or similar
- renters – lease agreement/water/electricity bill or similar
- student & parent's passport/visa (for overseas applicants only)
Step 2 – Policies to read and understand
Please read our important policies prior to the enrolment interview. You will need to have an understanding of the policies, standards and expectations of our school community before you enrol your children.
Step 3 – Enrolment interview
An enrolment interview allows our staff to become familiar with the aspirations and needs of individual students and gives families the opportunity to ask specific questions relevant to their student. Enrolment interviews are a minimum of 30 minutes.
Enrolment interviews are generally conducted on Thursday mornings with the Deputy Principal. Parents will also need to organise stationery, BYOd laptop, uniforms and other schooling requirements before their student begins.
Out-of-catchment application
If you are out of catchment but may still like to be considered for enrolment. Please complete an Out of catchment form, Enrolment application form, and two most recent school reports and other supporting documentation.
Enrolments for Year 7
Future Year 7 enrolments for the following academic year are due by the end of Term 2. This will ensure your child’s invitation to the Transition Day Programs. Enrolment interviews are not required for Year 7 students commencing the following year.
Excellence Programs
Students enrolled in Year 7 will have the opportunity to study one of
two educational pathways
: 1: Drive Program (Excellence Program) and 2: Strive and Shine Program. These pathways remain in place through Year 8 and 9, however may have some slight adaptions where needed.
Students enrolling in Year 7 for 2027 will have the opportunity to apply to be a part of our DRIVE Program. DRIVE Program applications for 2027 are now closed.
International Students
International Students are welcomed and are managed through Education Queensland International (EQI). Our International Coordinator can support you with this process. Please also refer to the
