Congratulations to our Year 10 students, Anna Wotton and Ruby Zsadony who have been selected for this year's STEM Japan Global Student Program. This is an amazing achievement as only 13, Year 10 students are chosen across all Queensland state schools. This program has been designed for those who are exceling in both STEM as well as the Japanese language.
Anna and Ruby will undertake a 14-day program, enjoying school life and visits to cultural and historical sites in Hiroshima and Kyoto, Japan. This will enable Anna and Ruby to improve their language proficiency and engage in industry visits where they will see real life examples of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) applications.
The program is organised by Queensland Department of Education and will cover all major expenses including, airfares, land travel, insurance, accommodation and most meals.
Congratulations again to Anna and Ruby.
