What happens when you bring 105 aspiring young writers together with two talented authors? You get an incredible collection of stories that are being published in a book!
Our 2026 Writers in Residence Program brought together students from Buderim Mountain State School, Kuluin State School, Pacific Paradise State School, Maroochydore State School, Mooloolaba State School, Chevallum State School and Maroochydore State High School for an unforgettable writing experience.
Over the program, students were coached and inspired by acclaimed authors Nick Earls and Anton Molopi-Clifford, who shared their expertise, creativity and passion for storytelling. Students developed their writing skills and created their very own original short stories.
We are incredibly proud of the creativity, imagination and dedication these young writers have shown throughout the program. Their voices and stories will be celebrated at the Writers in Residence Book Launch on 15 October 2026.
The launch marks an exciting culmination of the program – and, most importantly, gives our students the opportunity to see themselves as published authors.
