There is plenty of excitement and celebration at Maroochydore State High School this week as our Junior and Intermediate Debating Teams were crowned the 2026 Debating Champions on 21 October 2026.
The victories were celebrated by students, parents, supporters, coaches, teachers and school leadership, with both teams delivering outstanding performances to secure their championship titles. This is a remarkable
achievement in a competition featuring 60 teams from across the region.
Our school community has proudly rallied behind these teams, and the support from staff has made the success even more special. Throughout the week, students have enjoyed well-deserved recognition from teachers and staff, who have taken every opportunity to congratulate and celebrate their accomplishments.
The overwhelming encouragement and positive feedback have made our debaters feel like celebrities around the school, highlighting just how proud our community is of their achievements.
We congratulate all students involved and extend our sincere thanks to our coaches (Ms Calligaris and Mrs Hartley), staff, families and supporters for helping make this success possible. We are incredibly proud of our 2026 Junior and Intermediate Debating Champions and look forward to seeing what they achieve next.
Congratulations, champions!
