P&C meetings

Maroochydore State High School Parents and Citizen's Association meetings are generally held on the second Monday of each month (February to November), please check our Facebook page. New members are always welcome, please advise via e-mail below if you will be attending.

P&C welcome

I would like to welcome all parents and congratulate you on your decision to have your children attend Maroochydore State High School. To those considering having their children attend Maroochydore SHS you can be assured that our school is an educational institution that is held in high regard on many levels across the Sunshine Coast community and indeed the State.  This was recently supported with the school being crowned the State Winner for the 2020 Showcase Awards for Excellence in Schools

The support of such a leading educational institution requires real community engagement, a principle we apply to the operations of our P&C Association.

One of the objectives of your P&C Association is to support the school and its families with additional and improved facilities to enhance the depth of experience and learning opportunities Maroochydore can offer our students.

However, there is always more to do, and I would encourage you to engage with your P&C Association as we endeavour to support the School and our children.

We are extremely fortunate to enjoy the expertise, collaboration and goodwill of our Principal, his Administration Team, Teachers and all School staff and we thank them for the knowledge, wisdom, and guidance they offer our students.

P&C Funding

Our P&C operates the school canteen and uniform shop with most of our funding coming from these two activities.  The decision on how to spend our funding surpluses are made in consultation with the P&C members, the School Principal and other school staff.   We aim to support regular programs such as the Chaplaincy program, school camps/activities and student assistance but also save for larger infrastructure programs such as the Year 7 Playground completed in 2021.
