Student Leadership


​Maroochydore State High School: Student Leadership

Maroochydore State High School is committed to fostering leadership skills in aspiring students across all year levels.  Numerous leadership events are run throughout the year to give students either the information or opportunity to demonstrate and enhance their leadership capability.  To ensure balance and development, each year level is given a focus which gradually expands from learning how to lead in social situations to leading communities.  Focus questions are as follows.

Student Leadership Activities

Student leaders are involved in a wide variety of activities throughout the year and are encouraged to commit to attending/running at least two activities per year.    Each year level will determine its own directions for the year as they address their focus question. Some examples of activities run include;

Gold  Badge applications for Year 12 are available Week 9, Term 3
Green Badge Committees (Sign up Week 2, Term 1)
Gold Badge leaders are selected at the end of Year 11
