More than 6 million Australian volunteers give happiness to others each
year and research says that those volunteers are happier as a result. So this
National Volunteer Week (21-27 May) help us make
Australia the happiest place on earth, by giving as much of your time as you
can. Give a little. Change a lot.
Our sincere thanks are extended to all who volunteer including:
·
each of our Parents who assist in the Canteen
·
those who give their time to assist in the Learning
Assistance Program
·
the parents who attend P&C meetings and School
Council, giving their time to value add to the operations of the school
·
members of our community who support the Breakfast
Club programs
·
our Music parents who support so many
extra-curricular events
·
the members of the Lions Club of Mooloolaba who give
so much to our LEOs club – helping shape our student leaders
·
the business community who support our Beacon
programs including events such as the Yr 10 Speed Careering program and the
work experience opportunities
·
members of the Maroochydore and Mooloolaba Rotary
Clubs for supporting events such as RYDA and Mock Interviews
·
the Lioness Club members who support “Mighty
Minions”
·
those helping with our sport and creative industry
programs and the list goes on.
This civic value of service is really appreciated. It is also recognised by our students and it
is pleasing to see how they exhibit the same qualities through their
involvement in our civic programs including Student and School Councils, the
Humanitarian Project, Mighty Minions, The Busking Club, Peer Helpers, and the
Environment Committee. Our community as
a whole can only benefit when individuals young or old find ways to ‘Give a little. Change a lot.’
