As the Semester draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to wish each member of our learning community a safe and happy holiday.  School will resume for all students on Monday 11 July.
School Watch:
During any holiday period, the community plays an important role in keeping watch over the facilities.  If you notice anything suspicious, particularly possible after-hours crime you can contact School Watch on 13 17 88.
The School Watch Program is a partnership between Education Queensland, the Queensland Police Service and the State Government Protective Security Service. It aims to reduce vandalism, theft and arson in Queensland schools.  If you do see something suspicious, please don’t attempt to intervene. Call the School Watch number and let the local police or State Government Protective Security Service deal with the matter.  13 17 88.
Facilities Enhancements:
Whilst we need the community to keep an eye on the school, please note that during the holiday period we will be continuing our work to enhance the school grounds and other facilities.  This will see a number of staff and tradesmen on the school grounds during the day, weather dependant.
In the second week of the holidays, the portable building K3/K4 is being removed.  As this is a major task the community is advised to remain clear of the school grounds during this time.  New facilities will be constructed during the second half of the year to further enhance the learning environments that our students and staff enjoy.
